Keegs and Paigey-girl

I had fun seeing Keegan and Paige again. Paige likes to carry me around because she forgets that I can walk. Papa says I parallel play with Keegan, whatever that means.

Kailua Time

Mama and Papa got Grandma and Grandpa to take me to the beach one last time before we left. Isn't Kailua beach beautiful? Grandpa says the sand is very fine and excellent for making sand castles. I just had plain fun.

This One's for Uncle Muu

My uncle Murray likes to see pictures of food we eat on vacation. Grandpa and Grandma treated us to Sam Choy's Diamond Head Xmas Eve Brunch. From far to near were: mini belgain waffles, dungeness crab, bacon, sausage, ham, dry garlic turkey, Grandpa, shortribs with mushroom sauce, chicken with pistachio pesto, Grandma, mixed veggies, Cousin Todd, mashed potato with spinach and corn, fried rice and white rice. You can't see the poke bar to the left. The prime rib is in the spotlight in the back next to the custom omelette bar. I ate raspberries, strawberries, fried rice and tapioca cream. So ono! Grandma let me play in the chocolate fountain, but I didn't like eating any of it.

Papa Broke Santa's Lap

This year I had the great fear of Santa, even if it was really Uncle Yasu. Fortunately Papa was allowed to go get my gift for me while I had a fit out in the yard. I still got my present. Thanks Papa!

Sorry Charlie!

Grandpa's friend brought him an Aku for Xmas. Papa has lots of pictures holding fish in his driveway while growing up, so I'm continuing the tradition, but Papa had to help me out for my first photo. We brought some of this guy to Christmas dinner with the Ishikawas...it was good fun!

Mele Kalikimaka!

We're in Hawaii visiting Grandma and Grandpa, and soaking up the sun. Sorry to hear about the rain in Seattle!
Honolulu Hale (City Hall) has a nice display with a Hawaiian Mr. and Mrs. Santa and friends. There's also a big Christmas tree with cool ornaments and lights as well. Today we took a quick trip to see Auntie Grace and look at the display. Actually, it was a repeat of yesterday, when we tried to take a picture, but I spilled juice everywhere and I was not too happy about it. Look for a picture in your mailbox soon! Peace and Joy to you this Christmas.

Santa Train

On Saturday, we got up early and caught the Santa Train in North Bend. I had a really good time on the train, but the visit with Santa didn't go all that great... oh well. There was snow on the ground, and lots of caroling on the train. We had hot chocolate and cookies in Snoqualmie while we took a peek at all of the old rail cars.

Center Choo-Choo!

Today we went to visit Mama for lunch, and I went to Seattle Center to see the Holiday Train. I was mesmerized.

Thursday, November 30

Orange Mocha Frappucino!

I'm a model. Mama's friend Uncle Peter has a talented sister who has started painting storybook style paintings. She painted a very nice portrait of me and I'm featured on her website.

Wednesday, November 29

Snow day.

Snow hit us today and added to what was on the ground from yesterday. I suited up and romped around a bit. It was a little too slick to ride my "Corn Popper" car, though.

Holiday Wights in da Pahk

Downtown San Jose was lit up with sparkly lights at the Christmas in the Park display. It was nice! Even in San Jose, it was a little chilly, but it helped get everyone in the holiday mood.

Pilgrimage of Sorts

Anya, Uncle Buu, Anya Mel, Uncle Bussh (Bruce) and Cousin Ma-Chwo (Chloe) and Mama and Papa had lunch at BJ's in Cupertino. As it happened, we were right around the corner from Apple Computer headquarters so we took a peek to see if the company store was open on the day after Thanksgiving... alas, no luck. But we had to take a picture at the home of the Mac and iPod.

We went to Willow Glen Frozen Yogurt Co. after our visit, but I fell asleep and didn't get to eat any. Anya, Mama, and Papa got frozen custard, and they said it was really yummy.

Post-Thanksgiving Parade

Anya and Uncle Broossh put together a new wagon for Uncle Buu, and Ma-Chwo and I had to take it out for its inaugural spin. It was very nice, with pads and cushioned wheels.

We took a trip to another nice playground in the Linear Park near Anya's house. Whee! More shide.

Thursday, November 23

Good Gravy.

Mama, Anya, and Uncle Buu worked hard to make a yummy dinner. Uncle also built fancy tables so the whole family could sit down to dinner.

Anya, Shide! Part 2!

I flew down to San Jose for Thanksgiving with Anya and Uncle Buu. The weather was nice, if a little cold, at my favorite place...
The view was great, though, at the top of the hill. The mountain near Anya's hat is Loma Prieta and Mount Chual. It was a bit windy and I boinked my head when I went headfirst down the slide. I cried a bit but jumped right back up and went back up for a few more rounds of sliding.

Bum Bum Portrait

Well, I didn't win the Make / Craft contest, but I had lots of fun going Trick-or-Treating. Here's a picture of me and my jack-o'-lanterns before they collapsed.

More Happy Ha! Pics

Hi everyone, I'm now entered into the Make / Craft Halloween Costume contest! Papa was so proud of Mama's work on my costume. We didn't make it to Nintendo America headquarters but maybe someday we will visit... after all, it's only across the lake.

Visit Papa's flickr page for more pictures...

Happy Ha!

Can you guess who I am? Of course, I'm Yoshi! Mama sewed this crazy suit just for me. I LOVE it, even the 'hot hat'. When I run and fall down, there's a nice cushion for my head. We carved a 'bumbun' (pumpkin), so I'm all ready for Halloween! Maybe I'll show up on your doorstep tomorrow night!

Visit with the Ducks

Today we headed to Grandpa's house, and we took a lunch break at Coulon Park. We visited Grandma and Grandpa's bench and played a lot on my favorite, the "shide". Papa got to use his new cameraphone.

Happy Ah!

Hi! I'm back from a weekend in San Jose visiting Anya, Uncle Buu and Big Meow. I had a great time and am happy happy happy. Mama said I was the best on the plane since I slept both times. I learned to say Happy Ah (Happy Birthday) for Papa...only two weeks late...

Sunday, October 22

I know the way to San Jose.

I think California agrees with me.

Anya, Shide!

Anya sent pictures of our slide adventure. Her community has some nice slides. I had so much fun with her and was happy for hours after. Anya was glad I enjoyed it more than our swimming adventure on Saturday (it involved me saying 'all done' an awful lot). Now that I'm home I still say, 'Anya, Shide!'

Choo Choo!

From yoshi
My second favorite thing besides Beep Beeps are Choo Choos. This is an old set from Mama's childhood. She still has to help me put it together for me and help me with the 'chracks' (tracks). For some reason she calls me Godzilla when I stumble and knock everything over.

Like the Lid?

From yoshi

Its starting to get cold here and Mama's gotten busy making my new hats. This one is too big, but I still like it. Mama found 100% Bam Boo yarn for her takenoko.

Happy Birthday Papa!

From yoshi

Mama made Papa a Jello poke cake. Once again I'm a little sleepy. I learned I really like Uncle Harry! (Mar family inside joke).

Sprinkles forecast

From yoshi

Today we headed over to Seattle Center with Mama to have a picnic lunch. Auntie Betty joined us for a bit by the whale tail fountain.

Wednesday, September 20

Construction Conga

Grandpa is helping to build our basement and make my new playroom. Here I am supervising and dancing on some nice ductwork that he's making.

I did the Puyallup

Hi! I went to the Puyallup today with Auntie Laura and my buddy Owen. We had a great time. We confirmed my fear of all livestock and we took in some large vegetable sightings. The best thing was curley fries (that's how they spelled it, not me) and soft serve ice cream. We also saw a bit of Vocal Trash in concert...um, yeah. Posted by Picasa

And they're off

From yoshi

My buddy Owen and his mama Auntie Laura came to town this week, and we had a good time playing. Here we were playing "Formula 1" racing cars. I was the pit crew chief!

From yoshi
Owen changed vehicles and hopped on the cargo motorbike. So versatile.

Carousel Fun, Part 2.

Grandma and Grandpa are visiting, so today we took advantage of the nice weather and headed to the zoo. We had a little picnic and I rode the carousel again! This time I actually rode the horse like a big boy, and I think I liked it. That is, I think I liked it until I got dizzy. Then it was "all done".

Bang Bang Toot Toot

Auntie Grace gave me a cool drum toy. I love love love it!

Is the Sharkie's Name "Bruce"?

Auntie 'Anya' sent me cool shoes now that I'm going down the big boy slide. Yay! Thanks, Auntie, I really like them. I even learned that sharks say, "Grrrr..." Posted by Picasa

Fun Dip

Here I am in my pool again. This weekend was very hot, so I needed to go for a swim. I was happy until I fell down, but at least I kept cool.
