Snow bunny

It snowed last night, just a little bit left on the ground. It's kind of crunchy since it iced over. Papa thought I should get out and play since it won't be around for long. 

Sand castles

Papa came by to help me build some sand castles.

I tore it up around our condo. And I got to try out my new sandals!

Seal of approval

A Hawaiian monk seal came up on the beach and hung out for a little while. He seemed pretty relaxed even though people were walking by about 20 feet away. He looks happy, ne?

Banzai sand!

I'm getting ready to chuck a rock at Mama. Watch out.

We walked over to the Grand Hyatt Poipu and it happened to be koi feeding time. I was mesmerized by all the moving fishies.

Fruit banzai!

We went shopping at the store and at a farmers' market in Hanapepe this morning to pick up some fresh fruit and veggies. We found Papa's favorite "apple banana", lilikoi (passionfruit), guava, rambutan, papaya, and si gwa.

Aloha!

We're on Kauai! Mama and Papa had a wacky idea to take a last-minute trip to let me dip my toes in the sand and surf. It's sunny and mild here.

Mmmm. Haupia!

Many family and friends came to help Mama and Papa celebrate my first birthday at Kona Kitchen. Cousin Marques is helping me blow out the candles on my cake - it's haupia-filled, from Kauai Family Restaurant. Thank you everyone for coming to my party! (ooh, and thanks for all the fun gifts too!)

Sadly, the Seahawks lost, but it was a fun ride to the Super Bowl.
