I ain't afraid of the Big Man

Last month I was reading a Christmas book and I stopped and said to Mama, 'This year, not afraid of Santa.' So Mama called my bluff today. I was a champ. I stood in line for 30 minutes and I ran right up to Santa, smiled for the elf and told Santa I wanted Hot Wheels! (Most of mine are hanging in the tree at home). Since I was so good, Mama also took me to OSF for spaghetti and I ate it ALL.

Boy with Saw

Child protective services: I only held the saw for the photo. Like my new hedgehog hat? My mama rocked the saw and sliced the tree down at 7 months pregnant. Papa had to carry the tree to the car though. I love my tree.

Buss Tun-ow

Today Papa and I took a trip to visit the newly reopened Seattle Transit Tunnel (formerly Bus Tunnel). It was cool! I had only seen a little bit of the tunnel when I visited Westlake Center before. Papa and I went to the International District and ate a snack at Uwajimaya. I had a bit of chinese rooster tail bun. Here I am checking out the buses from the University Street Station mezzanine. I can't wait for the trains to start running!

Super Mario Kart Slot Racers!

Mama bought herself a new toy this weekend at Fred Meyer. She lets me play with it sometimes, but I keep running off with the controller while its still attached to the track. She said that its just like the set her brothers didn't let her play with when she was little. Though there is a green Yoshi cart, I prefer being Mario.

Happy Happoween!

This year I really understood what Happoween was all about. I went trick or treating and got some tasty candy. I wore my Nintendo Yoshi costume again and it fit much better this year. Here I am with my Auntie Kim. We visited her and Uncle Barry on Happoween.

Yoshi and his amazing technicolor coat

I go to preschool every Wednesday at MICC. I make a very cool craft each week. This week we learned the story of Joseph and we made ourselves our own amazing coat out of a grocery bag.

Jack-o-Lantern Fun

Papa and I made a fun little Jack-o-Lantern for Halloween. Kimo was cruising around the low table looking for seeds.

Sunday, October 21

My New Family

Kidding! I got to go to Cousin Marques' birthday party this weekend. Good eats at South China and cake back at their house. Marques got a cool Lightning McQueen cake...sorta jealous, but I got to have a big piece! Mama said I was very good to let Marques open all of his own presents, but I did check them all out. Look at me sneaking the first puff at the candles, good thing I blow through my front teeth and don't get much power yet.

The Greatest Cheek on Earth

Mama and Papa took me to the Ringling Brothers / Barnum and Bailey Greatest Show on Earth, and I ate it all up! There were tigers, horses, zebras, and of course, elephants. What a show. I even liked Bello! He was the main attraction of the "Bellobration".

Sundae Cruise

Ana came to town this weekend and we had a whole lot of fun. I especially like it when she stays at my house and we go on eat-a-thons like at my favorite OSF. On Sunday we went on the m/v Fremont Avenue for a spin around Lake Union. It was a little rainy, but I still had a great time. Mama found out I love Dove dark chocolate because I ate most of her ice cream treat (bottom picture). Papa and Ana had their famous Chocolate Ice Cream Root Beer float. The best part was I got to sit with Captain Larry in the steering room on the comfy bench (middle picture)!

Wild and Crazy Guy

Here I am at my friend Jordyn's birthday party. We had some ono Hawaiian style grinds and a pretty cool party favor. My new favorite word is: antenna! Kimo is wondering who brought the Martian home.

Chocolate Bug

Auntie Courtney and Uncle Scott went to Hersheypark and got me a cool car. (I bet they ate lots of chocolate too :) They rock.

Chrain!

Anya took us to the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad in Los Gatos. Woo hoo! That was the highlight of my trip. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my engineer's cap, but I was able to borrow a suitable cover for the day. We also ate killer yummy Indian food after this at Rangoli. No pictures from lunch - Papa was too busy eating. (July 30)

Dude, Where're Your Legs?

Merrick and I cool off in Christopher, Nicky, and Ry-Ry's pool. Beat the heat in Fresno! (July 28)

Is it a Comet?

Cousin Merrick and I are cooling off at the Mar Family Reunion Picnic. We didn't slide down the hill on the ice blocks like our cousins and uncles and aunts, but we enjoyed the ice all the same. (July 28)

Partner in Patio Crime

While we were in San Jose, we had dinner with Uncle Rich and Aunty Cathy and my new buddy "An-doo" (Andrew). We had yummy food and ran around wild in Anya and Uncle Buu's backyard. I think we ended up with a skinned knee each. (July 30)

Tête-à-tête

I like Anya and Uncle Butch's cat, Tux... but I'm not so sure what he thinks of me. (July 30)

Auntie and Uncle's "She Beep Beep!"

Here I am in Fresno visiting with the family. One of the highlights was visiting with Auntie Megan and Uncle Renato, since they had a real live "She Beep Beep" car, like my favorite "Cars" movie Porsche, Sally. I didn't ride in it, but I did like being up close. (July 29)

Pool Life

It was hot in July, so Papa and Mama set up a little pool for me in the front yard. When Papa fixed all the air leaks, I was able to jump in! Aaaah. So cool. (July 11)

Sands of Time

Mama and Papa set up a sandbox for me, a hand-me-down gift from "Uncle Pastor" and "Auntie Marilyn" and Sarah. I ask to play in the sand almost every day. (July 1)

Haulin' Gravel

Before I left on my vacation, I went to the Presby Picnic at Lincoln Park. The day was a little cold with some sprinkles, but I had a great time down at the beach anyway. Here I am moving some earth around the big driftwood logs. (June 24)

Back Home

Hi! I was 'on holiday' for almost a month! Well, before that, I had the stomach flu...I didn't post pictures from that. I went to Fresno, then San Jose, then Hawaii, then back to San Jose. Here I am at the famous Mini Garden (complete with 5 police car arrest just outside) with the famous whole flounder dish. More to come!

Sunday, August 12

Me and Shibi

Grandpa went out fishing with Uncle Koji and caught some Shibiko, which are little Ahi tuna. He wanted me to hold one in each hand and lift them...maybe when I'm bigger.

Thursday, June 28

More birthday eats!

I had dinner with fun Auntie Courtney, Uncle Scott, and Auntie Kim tonight at one of my favorite restaurants, The Old Spaghetti Factory. We went to OSF Lynnwood and I ate myself silly. More meat noodles, Mama!

Saturday, June 23

Is this what they mean by "Bluetooth"?

We went to my friend Kenzie's first birthday party today, and we had cupcakes! They were yum-licious.

Train Coming!

The best thing about the beaches in Seattle is that the train tracks run throught them. Well, there's a lot of nice rocks, sand and water too. Papa and I had a great time seeing the train. Choo Choo!

Somewhere, Beyond the Sea...

...maybe I get spootie?
Papa took me to a new beach in Edmonds today. We went to the Aurora Costco to buy Uncle Bruce a birthday present. It was pretty hot for Seattle but not too hot for boots. I also enjoyed lunch at the beach. I'm a big fan of outdoor living.

Sunday, June 17

Happy Father's Day!

Papa and I spent Father's Day doing men stuff. Here I am with my Sesame Street tool belt. Oscar hammer got a good workout today. We even tried breaking up Reese's peanut butter eggs...not very successful, but tasty...
Mama made barbecued baby back ribs using the recipe from the Side Street Inn. They were supposed to be lilikoi, but all we had was POG, but still so good. I yelled for more sauce meat!

Conquering My Fears

I've been nursing an irrational fear of farm animals, especially pigmy goats. A petting zoo usually involves a whole lot of screaming and a bit of crying. Today we went to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium to celebrate Father's Day one day early. I not only asked to visit the goats, but I also fed the with my hand. I look a little scared here, but I was not. Mama said she was very proud of me being so brave.

Where'd He Go?

Mama bought me a View-master last week. I really love it since I learned how to flip the lever to change pictures. It was a special set with 3-D Cars reels. We first bought the Soundmaster one, but the 3-D was off and the sounds only worked once in awhile, so we went old school. So far we got National Geographic reef fish and Nemo reels and Mama's bidding on eBay for Thomas ones. She says they had cool Disneyland ones and National Park ones when she was little, but we can't find many educational ones nowadays.

I don't need no sticks

I enjoy the toddler area in the Zoomazium. This is not to be confused with my other passion, Zoboomafoo. There's a fish tank and a faux mountain to climb, but what really rings my bell is the bongo drums. Look at my intense drumming action arms.

Thursday, June 7

Woo woo, choo choo!

Anya and Unca Butch sent me a stylin' train engineer's hat from their visit to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. They also sent video of their ride on the trains! I wore the hat as soon as I got it, and people have told me they like it when we're out and about. Here, I'm making a "boom-ba" hand sign with Papa, which Uncle Muu (Murray) taught me.

Rooftop Splashy

We all headed to the Mariners game to celebrate Mama and Papa's anniversary, and Mama made special reservations at the fancy hotel across the street. The part I liked best was the rooftop pool. It was very hot this weekend, so it was nice to cool down in the pool and jacuzzi. Here we are hanging out.

Mama also took a dip and Papa helped me "kick, kick, kick."

Here I am in "The Mitt".

And here I am at the game. Go Ichiro!

Tour de Fence

Tonight, Mama and Papa put together my Batman bike I got last Christmas. Turns out I'm still about an inch too short for it, but I'm happy happy happy. Whenever I see a bike, I say, "Allez allez allez Unca Butch" (Mama taught me that). I even have a cowbell. I'm all ready for le Tour and to be Uncle's support crew for STP.
