Tour de Fence

Tonight, Mama and Papa put together my Batman bike I got last Christmas. Turns out I'm still about an inch too short for it, but I'm happy happy happy. Whenever I see a bike, I say, "Allez allez allez Unca Butch" (Mama taught me that). I even have a cowbell. I'm all ready for le Tour and to be Uncle's support crew for STP.

Hot Beach

Today Papa and I headed to the beach to try to escape the heat. We ended up at Magnuson Park, which doesn't have a sandy beach, but lots of fun pebbles to play with anyway. We even saw a float plane touch-and-go right in front of us. It was loud, but very cool.

Go Beach!

Everyday I ask to 'go park' or 'go beach'. Today was definitely a beach day. Golden Gardens is my 'home beach'. I play in the stream, there's nice sand, boats and barges go by and there are trains too. What more could a little boy want in a park? Maybe a spootee (smoothie)?

Nothin's Hard in Ballard

Ok, its hard to think of a catchy title for Ballard. Anyway, the rain broke long enough for us to play in the Ballard Commons Park. A nice mom there says the squirty things shoot water out higher as the weather gets warmer...I can't wait. Mama liked it because she got me to go to Joann Fabrics which is across the street from the park. She also treated me to Cream Puff Pho. I love the noodles and for the first time, I ate the whole cream puff.

Not-so-hot Gym?

Papa and I headed to Northgate today for another "Tot Gym" session. But the weather was so nice, all the kids were outside. Never mind, I said, toys toys toys to play with inside! I had the house to myself:

... and pretty much the whole gym, actually.

Sculpture Haiku

On a pebble bench
Mmm, Old Spaghetti Factory
Mama why the hat?

I know the middle line has 8 syllables...I'm two, that's the best I can do. In case you're not familiar with Seattle, that's the OSF in the brick building behind me...Uncle Moo says its closed? Say it isn't so! I love that place, its the only restaurant that I like the kids meal. I'm a milk, applesauce, meat sauce, vanilla ice cream kind of guy...

Mister Squinchy

Today I went to the Olympic Sculpture Park with Mama. It was a bee-yoo-tiful day. Here, I'm resting on a concrete curb and eating crackers. The exhibits and pavillion are closed on Mondays, but I enjoyed the park and art. I got to see the water and some trains too. I'd highly recommend it!

Toys R Lowly

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the Lynnwood Toys R Us to buy a gift for baby Sophie. Mama took this picture of me with her phone because cousin Chloe told us a story about how her mom always forgot to take a picture of her when she was little. They finally took a picture when she was too big to fit in the apple and she was all cramped. Chloe didn't seem to happy about it. So here's my happy picture with my buddy Lowly.

A-peel-ing

Tonight we're having curry rice. I helped Mama prep dinner. She taught me how to peel carrots with a ceramic peeler she bought in Japan. It was fun, but it was more fun sinking my teeth into the carrots. I don't like eating them, just chomping off big bits. Good thing guests aren't coming over tonight...

By and by.

The sun came out today, so before Papa and I ran our errands, we hit Alki Beach. I thought it was the biggest sandbox I'd ever seen. We also stopped for a little snack. The ferries passed by and so did a few seagulls. There was a large cruise ship docked in Elliott Bay as well. A fun day!

Samurai Koi

I received a nice yukata last year from Grandma and Grandpa's friend in Hawaii, and I finally grew into it to wear this year! Here I am with the Boys' Day koinobori that Mama put up (and you can also see the nice wisteria we have as well).
