Today we tried out the new Genki Sushi at 5th and Mercer. Mama and Papa saw it while we were driving away from our last sushi outing at Marinepolis and they said, "Ooh, we have to try it!". Last week, we went to visit Ana and family in San Jose. As a treat, we took the train to visit more family for brunch in Palo Alto. I loved climbing up to the top deck and watching the world go by.

Today we headed to the middle of the pineapple fields and the Dole Plantation to ride the Pineapple Express. It was great! I loved watching the different plants whiz by. Later, we had a Dole Whip, which Mama had been waiting a long time to have. At least we didn't have to wait at the Tiki Room at Disneyland.Two ripe pineapples!

Yesterday we went to the Bybee Nims blueberry farm in North Bend with Auntie Reenie, JuJu, Aunty Michele, Jayna & Cameron. I really liked that it was by the base of Mount Si, I could see the big mountain! I liked running through the bushes and eating blueberries. It was a little rainy, but I didn't mind at all. Today Mama took Keoki and me on a Ferry ride. I was very very happy. We took the Mukilteo-Clinton Ferry. We parked in Mukilteo and got to walk on the ferry! We walked off onto Whidbey Island, then walked right back on for a fun round trip. I liked watching the cars get loaded onto the ferry. Mama, Papa, Keoki and I went to the zoo on Friday. I've conquered my fear of the baby cow, so I can leisurely stroll around the Family Farm now. I've been reading Richard Scarry's 'What Do People Do All Day?'. Harry Pig plants an apple tree, so I asked Mama and Papa to help me plant a tree. I chose a pear tree instead of apple because I love pears. All 4 of us went to Sky Nursery and the nice men bundled up the tree and jammed it in our Prius. I've been having trouble keeping my outside voice from being inside after I learned the Inside Voice, Outside Voice song on Yo Gabba Gabba. On this slide at Wallingford Park, I got to use my outside voice AND it echoes! Mama calls it the loud slide, but I call it the tunnel slide.

I finally fit one of my tricycles and at age 3 I like my bike helmet. Ana was able to cinch up the helmet straps so I'm safe. And it took Papa all of 10 minutes to get me going on the trike. Mama had tried unsuccessfully on the Batman bike since last summer. Now steering is another issue...

Today I went for my checkup at Dr. Sata's. Papa said I was very very good. I hopped in the chair and let the hygeinist do a full cleaning. She read me three stories while we waited for Dr. Sata to check me out. Everything's good. I need to start flossing my molars because they are starting to touch together. Mama and Papa gave me this awesome airport for Easter. It has one of my favorite things in the world, a control tower. This adds to my Plan Toys collection. I guess they couldn't find this for Christmas or my birthday because the Plan Toys have become very popular. They use natural dyes to color the toys and they're all wood and presumably no lead.

Today was a beautiful sunny day. Papa had the day off and took me to make some sand castles at Madison Park beach. I decorated them with 'clam shells and green berries', or so I told Mama. I had a great 'Wonder Pets' birthday party at the Northgate Community Center. We had Spam musubi, weenie in a blanket, mac n cheese, jello, strawberries...all my favorites. This year I really wanted to make a gingerbread house. My overachieving mother had visions of baking gingerbread and finding powdered egg whites for the royal icing, but instead settled on a box of Honey Maid graham crackers and a $1 jar of Betty Crocker frosting. I've been sleeping in my big boy bed since August, but the dogs haven't seized the opportunity to sleep with me yet. Today must've been very cold for Kina to come in, but we both had a very very long sweaty nap.

Last month I was reading a Christmas book and I stopped and said to Mama, 'This year, not afraid of Santa.' So Mama called my bluff today. I was a champ. I stood in line for 30 minutes and I ran right up to Santa, smiled for the elf and told Santa I wanted Hot Wheels! (Most of mine are hanging in the tree at home). Since I was so good, Mama also took me to OSF for spaghetti and I ate it ALL.

Today Papa and I took a trip to visit the newly reopened Seattle Transit Tunnel (formerly Bus Tunnel). It was cool! I had only seen a little bit of the tunnel when I visited Westlake Center before. Mama bought herself a new toy this weekend at Fred Meyer. She lets me play with it sometimes, but I keep running off with the controller while its still attached to the track. Ana came to town this weekend and we had a whole lot of fun. I especially like it when she stays at my house and we go on eat-a-thons like at my favorite OSF. Anya took us to the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad in Los Gatos. Woo hoo! That was the highlight of my trip. Mama bought me a View-master last week. I really love it since I learned how to flip the lever to change pictures. It was a special set with 3-D Cars reels. We first bought the Soundmaster one, but the 3-D was off and the sounds only worked once in awhile, so we went old school. Anya and Unca Butch sent me a stylin' train engineer's hat from their visit to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. They also sent video of their ride on the trains! Tonight, Mama and Papa put together my Batman bike I got last Christmas. Turns out I'm still about an inch too short for it, but I'm happy happy happy. Today Papa and I headed to the beach to try to escape the heat. We ended up at Magnuson Park, which doesn't have a sandy beach, but lots of fun pebbles to play with anyway. We even saw a float plane touch-and-go right in front of us. It was loud, but very cool.

Today I went to the Olympic Sculpture Park with Mama. It was a bee-yoo-tiful day. Here, I'm resting on a concrete curb and eating crackers. The exhibits and pavillion are closed on Mondays, but I enjoyed the park and art. I got to see the water and some trains too. I'd highly recommend it!

The sun came out today, so before Papa and I ran our errands, we hit Alki Beach. I thought it was the biggest sandbox I'd ever seen. We also stopped for a little snack. The ferries passed by and so did a few seagulls. There was a large cruise ship docked in Elliott Bay as well. A fun day!
