Grabby Yoshi

This week Papa bought Yoshi some link letters. They're lightweight plastic shapes that help babies learn to grab. The light weight helps when the baby bashes the toy against their head. When Marissa was a baby, they had link fish, but they don't make those anymore. We've made Yoshi two letter chains: Y-O-S-H-I and T-A-K-E-N. There's only one of each letter, so we're short an 'O'. I spent the week teaching him to grab the letters. This consisted of prying the right fist open and jamming the letter into his momentarily open clasp. Today is the first day he grabbed onto the letters himself. NOTE: We're not trying to make him right handed, its just that he's always sucking the left fist nowadays, so I just work with the right.

Here he is grabbing the 'N'.
